In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty McElveen and Emma Futrell as well as her grandson, Hunter Iddins. ![]() ![]() Both she and her husband served as foster parents to numerous children across the area and were active in the local and state foster parent organizations. She was formerly active with the Chatham Association for Retarded Citizens and was an interpreter for the Hearing-impaired community in the court system and other settings.
